1a Pupils must know the emergency procedures.
b. Pupils must know the procedure to be adopted in the event of sounding of the alarm and obey them promptly.
c. Pupils must be aware of and observe all special safety rules in specialist areas, including laboratories, workshops, computer rooms, practical rooms, music department and sports facilities.
d. Pupils must report any accident to a teacher or person in charge
2a Pupils may not enter science laboratories, workshops, computer rooms, practical rooms or sports facilities unless a member of staff is present.
b. Appropriate safety clothing and equipment, such as protective overalls and safety glasses, is to be worn in specialist areas as directed by a member of staff.
3. Pupils are not permitted to open or close blinds or windows unless a member of staff is present and supervises the process.
4. Pupils must not:
a. lean out of windows
b. climb on any staging, trees or equipment unless a member of staff is present and supervises the pupil.
5. Pupils must not interfere with any electrical equipment or installations, including switches and plugs.
6. Cycling within the school grounds is forbidden.
7. Parents of pupils are welcome to visit the school. It is usual to make an appointment by telephone with the appropriate member of staff. The staff are not normally available to meet with parents during lesson times or other duty times.
8. Parents and visitors must report to the school office on arrival.
9. Parents are requested not to drive into the school car park unless they have an appointment with a member of staff.
